Cocoa shell color is a natural food coloring agent with natural ingredients and relatively good safety and stability. It is widely used in various food industries. Specific industry categories and usage levels can be referenced from the relevant provisions in the "GB2760-2014 National Food Safety Standard for the Use of Food Additives." For example, the maximum usage level in frozen beverages (excluding edible ice) and biscuit products is 0.04g/kg. In cocoa products, chocolates, and chocolate products (including cocoa butter substitutes), as well as decorative toppings for pastries, the maximum usage level is 3.0g/kg. For baking fillings and surface coatings, as well as formulated wine products, the maximum usage level is 1.0g/kg.
