Lutein is a natural food coloring agent with natural ingredients and high safety, although its stability is slightly lower. It is susceptible to factors such as oxygen, light, heat, metal ions, and pH. It is widely used in various food industries. Specific industry categories and usage levels can be referenced from the relevant provisions in the "GB2760-2014 National Food Safety Standard for the Use of Food Additives." For example, the maximum usage level in frozen beverages (excluding edible ice) is 0.1g/kg, while in formulated milk, flavored fermented milk, jams, and canned cereals, the maximum usage level is 0.05g/kg. For candies, convenience rice and noodle products, and baked goods, the maximum usage level is 0.15g/kg.
